The Swedish pizzas are usually pretty bland. But the meh taste can be masked by a slew of bearnaise sauce. This particular specimen was beyond remedy, though. Terrible, actually. But the soda "Trocadero" is awesome. Totally Swedish, btw.

Food for the people
Got to say, so far I haven't been too impressed by the LA cuisine. It's not on a par with SF. But Mao's Kitchen in Venice has a nice "Chinese country cooking" which I really like. This is mapo tofu with peanuts.

Escape the heat
The tropical monsoon system from the Gulf of Mexico has parked over the Inland Empire. You can tell by the high clouds. 101 degrees F and high humidity. But here by the ocean it's 81 degrees and a comfortable breeze. Awesome.

Cute enough
Our rental house is great but no, we are not using the whole house. We are one of two tenants. But the Mercedes we have on a 6-week lease is overkill. I told Sarah we should go for a Toyota, but she is a MB or BMW kind of girl. And who am I to even start arguing. I don't even have a friggin driver's license...
