American pizza - Swedish style

Just had an "American pan pizza" at a local eatery in Järfälla, Sweden. Not the best. But at least they were generous with the mozzarella cheese. In Sweden, you don't encounter that every day. It's like mozzarella is an exclusive thing, or something.

Lake Mälaren

Swedish summer at its best. Blue sky, overwhelming greenery and temps in the upper 70s.

Lots of water...

It's rare to be able to see downtown Stockholm during approach. But because of heavy turbulence we had a different route than the regular one.

Because fish grow on trees

Funny how Spanish airports still consider tuna as "vegetarian". Feels like the 80's.

A brand new place

The last few nights we have been staying at a new place called Resort Cordial Santa Agueda in Arguineguin. A bit on the pricey side, but you get a private pool and everything is spanking new. Tomorrow Sarah will be flying to Barcelona on an important job. I'll be going back to Sweden for a brief pitstop. Depending on how my government decides on traveling outside EU after July 1, we'll be going to the US or remain in Europe for 2 months or so.

Calima is approaching

A calima is approaching. You can tell from the stuffy and milky air. Tomorrow we're expecting close to 100 degrees (37 degrees centigrade).

Anfi del Mar

Anfi del Mar is slowly but surely beginning to wake up from the pandemic. Although most of the people are locals, the tourists are finding their way back to their favorite getaway.

My sunshine

Sarah doesn't like it when I snapshot her without her knowing it. This is on a small community beach in Arguineguin, a small town situated in the far south of the island.

Finally we get to meet

Sarah has managed to snatch a work permit in Spain. She is so happy to be able to fly out of the country. And as my government has yet to let me fly to the US fully insured, I'll be meeting up with wifey in Spain next week. First time in 18 months!!

Shake-N-Out

Sarah went to the first Shake Shack in SF the other day. Better than In-N-Out? Try it out yourself. The City is finally opening up again :-)

Bye Dad!

Last Sunday we said our last goodbyes to our dear father. It was special. Our family is special. We see humor in sadness and the grand thing in the little thing. Dad was a quirky individual, especially to all who didn't know him. And he was extremely individualistic yet sensed everything that was constructive around him and had a strong will, a good heart and great determination. Traits that is a trademark of our family. Thanks dad for all and everything.
